  3. WELCOME TO ROAD RASH FOR WINDOWS(r) 95!!!

  5. This file details the procedure to get this prerelease
  6. Road Rash(tm) demo running on your system and features
  7. of the demo and shipping product. We've  really had a
  8. good time playing Road Rash on the PC and wanted to
  9. get it out to the public as early as possible; but
  10. remember, Road Rash is still in its development stage
  11. and won't be finished until early this fall. Please
  12. read all of the following important information including
  13. the section on Direct X under System Requirements before
  14. starting the Road Rash demo.

  16. Find out just how fast your PC really is. Road Rash,
  17. the most aggressive motorcycle racing/combat game ever,
  18. explodes on your Windows 95 PC with hard-hitting,
  19. full throttle action that'll bring you to your freshly
  20. skinned knees. Dodge traffic, outrace cops, and thrash
  21. pedestrians on your way to winning the Cup and becoming
  22. the menace to society your mother always worried about.
  23. Nobody said you had to do this alone, so race/battle up
  24. to eight of your so-called friends in network mode or go
  25. mano-a-mano in vicious modem play. Developed with Papyrus
  26. Design Group, Road Rash will blow you away with its high
  27. resolution SVGA graphics and amazing sensation of speed.

  48. SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS:
  49. - IBM PC and Compatible
  50. - Pentium 75 or better
  51. - 16 MB of Ram
  52. - Direct Draw compatible video card with 1mb ram
  53. - Direct Sound compatible sound card 
  54. - Double speed cd-rom or better
  55. - DirectX 2*
  56.   * To run Road Rash, you MUST have the latest Direct X
  57.     drivers for your Sound and Video cards. It is recommended
  58.     that you check your hardware manufacturers website for
  59.     the latest driver updates. In addition, if you haven't
  60.     already loaded DirectX 2 from another 'Windows 95 Native'
  61.     product, then you will need to download DirectX 2.

  63.     NOT HAVING THE LATEST DIRECT X DRIVERS MAY CAUSE SYSTEM
  64.     DIFFICULTIES.

  66. RUNNING ROAD RASH:
  67. Create a new directory on your hard drive. Then download the
  68. file RASHDEMO.EXE into that directory. Then execute RASHDEMO
  69. and it will automatically self-extract. Once this function
  70. has completed, run DEMORASH.EXE and the game will then start.
  71. You then want to go straight to the RESTROOM and select
  72. CONFIGURE INPUT. Here you can select which keyboard or
  73. joystick settings you prefer. Once this is completed, you
  74. should select GAME MODE. Here you can either try out
  75. THRASH MODE (Single player).
